451 Final Questions

1) The men laughed because they are laughing at books they know by memory.
2) Montag still cares about Mildred because he's not a bad person.
3) The hands of grangers grandfather and Mildred symbolize the characters by the grandfather making toys for children. Mildred doesn't really symbolize anything because he hasn't done anything.
4) It isn't the book that's special. It's the content of words inside the book that makes this book something special.
5) Three seconds is all the time in history because that's is when the bomb hit. And that's making it feel like theirs only 3 seconds left.
6) The Phoenix is to show that all was left of it when it exploded was ashes.
7) Montag has shown that he turned into a ok person. After he changed the professors accepted him for who he was.

Section 2 451 Fahrenheit Test.

1. In the scene where Mildred and Montag read books together Mildred is less interested rather than Montag.
2. The effect of the bombers flying over is to describe Sensory Imagery.
3. Professor Faber is an English professor.
4. Montage reaction to the commercial on the summary is he starts to scream out loud.
5. The argument Faber starts for books is that they stored a lot of stuff.
6. The small green metal object is a seashell radio.
7. The white clown show leads me to believe that everything you see on tv people will try, considering violence.
8. When Montag reads "Dover Beach" Mrs. Phelps doesn't know why she is crying.
9. Montage destination is the firehouse.

What I See In Literature.

Gatsby:
ALLUSION: In Gatsby Fitzgerald uses allusion to talk about characters or events.
FORESHADOWING: Early in the Story foreshadow was used to tell that Daisy and Gatsbys relation ship was not going to work out.
IMAGERY: Throughout the story Fitzgerald uses imagery so we can visualize what is going on in our heads.
